If there will be flight delays, I would not mind being stuck at Hong Kong airport.
Some pictures I took while waiting for my flight.

I logged in this morning at Facebook and I have several good news from the travel sector.
1) Cebu Pacific are going long-haul! By the 3rd quarter of 2013, Filipinos will be able to fly directly to destinations like Hawaii, Moscow, Australia, India and parts of the Middle East. As expected, they are much cheaper than the other of airline rivals which charges $550 or more.
I know it’s a bit far to be excited but this is something of a big deal to our OFWs and their families. It wouldn’t be difficult anymore to visit. And by then, I should be rich but still practical with my travel escapades. I long for Taj Mahal and Sydney’s fireworks display.
2) Is it because it’s February, Philippine Airlines announced some love today.
Effective 0001H/01Feb, Terminal fee for passengers on international flights has been reduced from PHP750.00 to PHP550.00. Domestic terminal fee from Manila remains at PHP200.00.
I looked over the comments and I still encountered negative feedbacks. Only in the Philippines that there is terminal fee and other countries do not charge anything from it. There is still the travel tax which also cost more than an arm of P1620 pesos. I remembered a family paying 10k, just because they are five in the family, and it just goes like that.. in a filthy airport.
I am transitioning from good to bad news already but I still have hopes of change. For the nth time and on behalf of the Filipino community, please make us feel where our money is going to so we can have our pleasurable stay in our own country. Pretty please!
3) Going back to Cebu Pacific, they recently opened flights to Cambodia and a promo for only 888 pesos (I’m estimating of 6k including the hidden charges). I only know Tomb Raider scenes was shot at Angkor Wat, Cambodia. I only have an idea, googled it and have decided to include it in my to do list to visit. Beautiful!
Not many people realize that they can survive a day without spending too much. I am now jobless and I now resort to freeloading. After I got the forms I needed from BIR, I’ve decided to drop off to Shangrila for some free relaxing time.
During College when I’ve got nothing to do, I just go to Shangrila to see free movies.. if lucky. These festivals they hold gets jam packed all the time. I got lucky this time because I was early an hour before the show time. Chinese movies has always the best effects and I won’t pass up this chance of a free and a feel good movie in one.
Lost on Journey. By the look of the poster, it seems that I will laugh throughout the movie and… I did. Extremely hard.

Lost on Journey: 6th Spring Film Festival
Shijiazhuang, Hebei province, just before Chinese New Year. Though his mistress Manni (Li Man) wants him to spend the holiday with her, Li Chenggong (Xu Zheng), CEO of United Doll Culture Group, feels he must visit his wife Meili (Zuo Xiaoqing), young daughter and sick mother at their family home in Changsha, 1,200 kilometres south in Hubei province. Arriving at the crowded airport, he finds he’s mistakenly been booked in economy class, where he sits next to first-time flyer Niu Geng (Wang Baoqiang), senior milker at Happy Dairy Farm, who’s also flying to Changsha and is owed back wages by his manager. After taking off, the plane has to turn back because of heavy snow at Changsha airport, but Li manages to acquire a train ticket from a tout. On board, he finds he’s been sold a fake one – and for the same seat that Niu has also bought. Next morning, when they have to leave the train in the middle of nowhere because of a landslide, Li and Niu find themselves travelling the remaining 490 kilometres together as one after another mishap overtakes them.

A van hitting a grandma, two guys sleeping on one bed, winning a lottery and then losing it eventually, in other words, luck is not on their side. Like any other rich man’s story, a humbling experience took over him with the poor man’s ways and wisdom.
I encourage everyone to see these movies. I’ve been to China and all I saw was how progressive their country is. But the movie highlighted some parts of China provinces and it was enriching to see different lifestyles and culture that they had.
I am making a resolution list again and one of these is maintaing a blog. I always blame that i have no time since i have a job working 6 days a week. But now i am unemployed and as free as a bird, i have no more excuse on making things happen. Hence, blogging it like an obligation!
1) I have several things going on already and one of which is an online shop we’re putting up. We’ve decided to name it after me. hehehe.
Here’s the teaser:
I like the design and layout to be colorful, homey and user-friendly. Visit the page here or click the link at the right sidebar. Hope you like it.
2) Try things. I really felt I missed out a lot of escapades and chances last year. I need to upgrade on skills such as photography, motion graphics, etc. I’m considering also driving and taking different classes.
3) TRAVEL. I’ve had quite a few trips last year and I’ve realized that travels are well spent if you’re not in a hurry. I want to have days to discover, to relax and to have a cup of tea with strangers. I am really looking forward on meeting new people, flex my muscles (fats) and just have a breathe of fresh air again.
That’s just about it for now. More blog entries coming up!
